Hello@JoyHilley.com
The majority of my canvas art is abstract—to spark the viewer’s own imagination, invite conversation, and embrace mystery. I love to explore the interplay between color, light, texture, and shape. My primary medium is chalk paint. Although rarely used for fine art, chalk paint enables me to create many thin layers to gain depth and texture. Remnants of my graphic design years can be detected in the shapes and patterns—as well as in the shimmer created by gold metal leaf and metallic acrylic accents.
Private and corporate collectors, throughout the United States and Europe, have acquired my paintings for their homes, offices, and religious institutions.
My working art studio also serves as a gallery for my work. The public is welcome to the studio during regular business hours and by appointment
