Sonia Davis is a passionate artist, educator, and visionary who has dedicated her life to creativity, community, and empowerment through the arts. With over 30 years of experience in jewelry design and instruction, Sonia is the founder and creative force behind The Jewelry Instructor® Inc., a dynamic studio in Houston’s thriving Arts District. Her studio offers immersive DIY experiences that bring people together to create, connect, and celebrate the art of jewelry making.
As an educator, Sonia is known for her approachable teaching style and her ability to transform creative expression into a powerful tool for self-care and confidence-building. Her signature motto—“Create it. Love it. Wear it.”—reflects her commitment to helping individuals of all ages embrace their creativity and express their authentic selves through wearable art. Sonia is also the author of the inspiring children’s book series Sandy Makes..., beginning with Sandy Makes an “S.” Drawing from her own childhood experiences, Sonia created Sandy as a character who celebrates creativity, uniqueness, and the importance of embracing one's voice. Her books are designed to uplift young readers and encourage self-expression, self-worth, and artistic courage.
