I create paintings that inhabit a contemporary mythic West. Drawing from the landscapes of Far West Texas, Northern California, and the visual language of information systems, my work combines archetype, symbol, and abstraction to explore solitude, resilience, identity, and belonging. Figures emerge as fragments and signals: matadoras, vaqueros, saints, animals, and sentinels suspended between memory and invention. Rather than documenting a place, the paintings construct a psychological terrain where personal history, cultural mythology, and the vastness of the American West converge.
