Lisa Morales is a mixed media collage artist who creates intricate works of art out of hand painted papers.

My process starts with the papers I collect, my favorites being papers that once served a purpose for someone in a very specific way - maps, books, recipes, sheet music, or hand written letters all find their way into my collection. These papers have a history. They belonged and were used by someone to bring joy and interest into their lives. I repurpose these papers bringing that same joy and interest into my work by hand painting, texturing, tearing and placing each piece individually in a jig-saw puzzle fashion.

My images of flora and fauna reflect my fascination with nature and the beauty found in everyday moments between all creatures, big and small.
