LOCI: Varied Expressions of Line

Sawyer Yards is pleased to present LOCI: Varied Expressions of Line, the inaugural exhibition of the newly dubbed ECG (East Corridor Gallery) at Sabine Streets Studios at Sawyer Yards. The new space is grant funded, and will present a year's worth of exhibitions highlighting local artists whose work utilizes the fundamental element of line in unique and interesting ways. 

LOCI: Varied Expressions of Line is a group exhibition bringing together six Houston artists working in a variety of media including photography, painting, sculpture, installation, drawing and printmaking. Lorena Morales, Daniela Koontz, XZZX, Alberto Careaga, Tina Hsu, and Sandra de la Rosa each bring their own sense of composition, color, and weight to bear in creating new contexts for us consider the use of line. 

The exhibition runs from February 11 to March 11, with a reception for the artists taking place on Thursday, February 23rd, from 5:00 - 8:30.
