Aquí Estoy, I'm Here is a portrait series by Violeta Alvarez documenting resilience, vulnerability, and humanity through anonymized portraits using partial obscurity, close-up gestures, and floral symbolism. Community members of Mesoamerican ancestry are invited to participate in this live photo session. Participants are encouraged to bring a meaningful object connected to their family history and cultural memory.
Visitors are also invited to witness the live portrait session as it unfolds, leave reflections on the gallery walls, and create a self-portrait at the Polaroid selfie station.
