Layering + WAX: Encaustic Art Workshop

In this specialty workshop, you will learn all about painting with wax and fusing with heat! We’ll also be incising and tinting the surface with pigment sticks. ALL supplies included. We have plenty of supplies here but you are welcome to bring more; your favorite tissue paper (plain or pattern); favorite writings, poems, magazine cutouts, hand-made papers, fabric, etc. Basically, if you like scrapbooking or journaling, this workshop is for you! Collage or create and abstract work of art - the possibilities are endless. This 2.5 hour workshop is designed for artists of all levels, even those new to encaustic painting. You will leave this workshop with one of your very own 8”x10” encaustic works of art on wood panel! Ages 18 & up.
