HEART of Houston

Winter Street Studios hosts HEART OF HOUSTON, a juried exhibition showcasing works in all media, by more than 60 artists from across the Greater Houston Area. Organized by Winter Street artist Marie Casamayor-Harvey and juried by Tanja Peterson of Redbud Gallery, the exhibition celebrates the creative voices that define Houston and reflects the city's diversity, resilience, complexity, and continual transformation.

HEART OF HOUSTON prompted artists to examine Houston as a place, memory, community, landscape, and idea. Through painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and installation, the featured artists explore the many stories, traditions, neighborhoods, and lived experiences that shape one of America's most dynamic cities. Houston is not one thing, but many things at once. It is the neighborhood and skyline, heritage and innovation, struggle and celebration, movement and rootedness. This exhibition embraces that multiplicity, creating a collective portrait of the city through the eyes of the artists who call it home.

Awards: To recognize artistic achievement, Winter Street Studios will present the following awards, selected by juror Tanja Peterson.
