El álbum incompleto (The Unfinished Album) is a participatory, archive-based exhibition by writer and researcher Ana María Caula, curated by Johanna Pérez Daza. Drawing from the photographic archive of Caula’s father, Argentine-Venezuelan photographer Francisco “Tito” Caula, the exhibition reimagines images created between the 1950s and 1970s through memory, research, and affection. Photographs, contact sheets, film posters, music, personal objects, and interview excerpts come together to evoke an analog Latin America while reflecting on the fragility of memory and the enduring bond between father and daughter. A central interactive component invites visitors to pose in a recreated studio set, re-enacting classic portraits as a playful homage to the act of being photographed.
