Houston artist Grace Phillips presents Dancing With the Stars, a new solo showcase at the Silos Studios at Sawyer Yards' Bay 300 Gallery. Phillips writes:

"I can tell you that I find total exhilaration in “finding" my work.
By doing, I can find what excites me. It is spontaneous, intuitive, childlike, not controlled, a weird elegance. I hope the viewer finds beauty, grace and humor."

About the Artist: 

Grace Phillips is a multi-faceted visual artist. She uses a variety of
media in her work, blending painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed-media
installations. She studied art at University of Houston, and the Glassell Studio School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and has been active in several local art organizations. Phillips lived in the Middle East for 18 years, first in Damman, Saudi Arabia, then Dubai, United Arab Emirates. While living in the Middle East, Phillips was director of Gallery 76, Dubai International Art Center, and was an active exhibitor in numerous venues while living in Dubai where she is currently represented by XVA Gallery. Phillips' work is a part of collections all over the Middle East, Europe, and Asia, as well as locally in the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
