Sawyer Yards is pleased to announce Canal Street Studios: Satellite Showcase, an exhibition of works by the current resident studio artists of Canal Street Studios, one of Houston's longstanding independent artist-run studio buildings in the city's East End. This showcase brings two of Houston's studio communities together to increase mutual awareness and visibility, co-inspire, and to develop opportunities for collaboration.
Canal Street Studios is a private visual arts studio nestled right in the middle of Houston's vibrant Second Ward neighborhood, and is home base for some of Houston's most established artists. Housed within a beautifully converted 1940's warehouse just a 6 minute drive from downtown, the building consists of 10 studio workspaces.
