Join us for the official launch party for 50 Artists Houston, Volume 2, a celebratory evening showcasing the talent and creativity of Houston’s vibrant artist community. Guests will enjoy a curated art exhibit featuring work from the book, meet the featured artists, and have their copies personally signed.

Sip on libations from Fine Turkish Wine, Saint Arnold, and La Santa Tequila, and savor light bites while mingling with fellow art lovers. This is more than a book signing—it’s a toast to Houston’s creative pulse. Come meet your local artists, see some incredible artwork and get a copy of the historical art book.   

About the Exhibition

"50 Artists, Houston" Volume 1 was published in 2022, and was a community oriented project conceived and executed by Houston artist Taft McWhorter (Winter Street Studios #B140). The Volume 2 Book Launch celebrates the release of Volume 2, highlighting a new batch of Houston creatives. The Houston artists featured in range from emerging artists to lifelong artists, each with their own personality and style. There are painters, sculptors, photographers, muralists, body painters, ceramicists and more.  Each artist has their own chapter in the book, and has been invited to participate in this blockbuster exhibition, that like the book serves as a timestamp, and core sample, of the current art scene. 

The launch event on October 3rd will include a "book signing".  All of the artists will be sitting at tables ready to meet you, sign your book and tell you about their artwork. This event will also serve as the kickoff for a three month long exhibit with artwork created by the artists in the book.  This exhibit will go through January 10, 2026, and is on view on the second floor of Spring Street Studios, Monday through Friday.
