The ClayHouston Summer Bash is a fun event that helps raise funds to support the organization's educational programs and opportunities for its members.

The event is open to members and to the public.  There will be live music, light appetizers, beer and non-alcoholic beverages.  There will be door prizes and a silent auction featuring art from many of our members and other local artists. Note: because we will serve alcohol this event is for adults only.  

If you love ceramics and love art, come to the ClayHouston Summer Bash, meet the artists and have fun!

Ceramic Shot Glass Exchange
The Ceramic Shot Glass Exchange is a fun way to show your work, see other peoples work and get to know your fellow members.  Bring up to 4 of the best ceramic shot glasses you made, and to increase your odds of winning a door prize.  You will receive an additional ticket for the door prize drawings for each shot glass you submit. The shot glasses will be put into individual bags.  At 2pm, you'll participate in a blind exchange toward the end of the event.  This is a fun opportunity to share a small example of your work and your signature style.  Shot glasses must be food safe and functional.  They can be thrown or hand built. The shot glass should hold no more than 2 ounces of liquid (1/4 cup) but can be any shape or size! Make sure to add your makers' mark and/or include your business card.

Silent Auction
The silent auction will have many exciting items including a one semester studio class at Glassell, workshops, ceramic pieces and other art from your favorite local artists just to name a few.
